The responsibilities of the web producer include uploading all of a given paper's weekly content, communicating with all other departments, site design, development and maintenance, and revenue development. Examples of homepages I designed/maintained for two of the New Times papers are at right. The New Times sites are all dynamic, using a server application called Zope. I have been working as a web producer for New Times since February 2000. I spent February-June 2000 at the flagship office in Phoenix, Arizona, where I was primarily the web producer for Phoenix New Times, but also worked on projects for the 12 other papers owned by New Times nationwide. I have since moved back to my native Washington, DC, where I continue to freelance for the company.
